A MTV revelou nesta terça-feira (18) a lista completa de indicados ao Video Music Awards 2026, e Madonna aparece como o grande destaque da edição, com 11 nomeações. A maior parte das indicações está relacionada a “Confessions II – The Film”, projeto visual associado ao novo álbum da cantora e apresentado no Festival de Tribeca.
Taylor Swift aparece logo atrás, com nove indicações pela era “The Life of a Showgirl”. Ariana Grande e Sabrina Carpenter também se destacam, com sete nomeações cada.
O Brasil está representado por Anitta, que concorre pela quarta vez na categoria Melhor Videoclipe Latino. A cantora disputa o prêmio com “Choka Chooka”, parceria com Shakira presente no álbum “Equilibrium I”, lançado em abril deste ano. O clipe foi gravado em Minas Gerais, com direção de Nidia Aranha.
Anitta venceu as três vezes anteriores em que foi indicada na categoria e agora busca repetir o feito. A votação do público começou nesta terça-feira e segue até 25 de setembro pelo site da MTV. A exceção é a categoria Artista Revelação, que permanecerá aberta até a noite da cerimônia.
O VMA 2026 será realizado em 27 de setembro, no Peacock Theatre, em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos.
